Several robins are arriving to pick berries off my Cotoneaster bushes today. Last year at this time there was a large wave of dozens of them that devoured all of the berries on one day. This year, what few there are, in the past two weeks have eaten only half of the berries. The extreme heat wave over 115 degrees for 3 days we had in June last year seems to have decreased the number of these birds.
