I found 2 monarch caterpillars today ~ a 2nd instar & a 4th instar. This is a photo of the 2nd instar on a milkweed in our front yard. I had seen the monarch lay its egg on 10/12/21 and had been keeping an eye on it. So it was very nice to see this little fellow.
