Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 02/14/2022

Number: 80

these winter resident Virginia robins seem smaller, paler, and more flighty than the winter resident robins we recently reported in central Maine. today the many robins foraging on the ground and in trees are feeding on fallen ornamental fruits, perhaps insects, and perhaps seeds of sweet gum trees. several are singing repeatedly this pleasant afternoon. we also reported song a few miles away 1 JAN 2022.
