Counted 13 Monarch butterflies at Google today. It was 58 degrees, mostly sunny and brisk. Fewer than we saw last week but it's been a cool wet week. This female was looking very tired, flopping around in the landscaping. But then we observed her make her way to (2) very small milkweed plants and began to lay eggs. In addition we saw a male flying about overhead while clutching a female.
