There have been so many Monarch caterpillars that have grown 5 instars and left the milkweed plants to search inside the Indian Hawthorn bushes nearby. I photographed this cat. J-hanging within the branches just before dusk. Unfortunately, by morning it was easily seen and probably eaten by a bird.
