We planted these yellow milkweeds 3-13-22 because our other 3 scarlet milkweeds were crowded with caterpillars. This Monarch did not allow me to walk close enough to determine its sex. I washed my hands before I began transferring several of the crowded caterpillars to these new plants. As I did this, I noticed a wasp was eating a 1-2 instar cat. on the crowded milkweed. I already knew about parasitoid wasps but did not know bigger wasps eat them!
