Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/24/2022

Number: 1

First Adult male rubythroat was sighted again at 8 a.m. in relentless wind going to feeder.

On another note I wish reporters would stop calling first male rubythroats 'SCOUTS'

There is no such thing as a scout rubythroat. They are just making a territorial claim. Call them claiming.

The male still here is sticking around because of weather and trying to get his weight up to migrate east. Or make a claim.

We have had 2 female rubythroats nest here which is rare. The males move on eventually.
