I saw a beautiful female monarch diligently searching for milkweed to lay her eggs on today. She finally found four little sprouts of Asclepias viridis. She laid multiple eggs on each sprout ~ 21 total. She tried to find more milkweed, but it is just not yet much emerged in our meadows. She laid 4 eggs on this tiny sprout.
