Today I saw 5 monarchs by our home, but I also saw 10+ more on my trip to the vet in Navasota, which is 21 miles to our west. It was a joy to see so many on that afternoon trip. They were flying and they were nectaring on wildflowers in the ditches ~ saw them all along the way.
This is a photo of a male monarch nectaring on a yellow thistle today ~ always a good nectar source!
