This morning at 10:15am it was 70 degrees F, sunny, with winds 14mph from the south & 67% humidity. I saw a monarch nectaring from a yellow thistle & another from pear tree blossoms, which had just started blooming a couple of days ago ~ quite late. Today I observed 10+ monarchs flying around, nectaring & looking for milkweed ~ but had limited chances to go about.
This is a lovely male monarch nectaring from Mexican plum blossoms in the morning sunlight.
