Yesterday we counted 33 monarch butterflies at Google. It was calm, sunny and 75 degrees. All of the monarchs were actively flying so impossible to get a good picture but this one landed for a brief second before moving on. We saw one tiny caterpillar that was only a few days old. No sign of larger caterpillars. Normally the monarchs fly around only a small area with milkweed but today they were flying quickly up and down the entire block.
