A monarch here already? There is still lots of snow on the ground and frost at night.
The picture is not very good -- zoom in to see it more clearly. The butterfly was not tattered or tired from a long flight. How did it get here? And why is it here?
I've not used your site before, but I've been recording the first monarch for years for my own records. This year's first sighting is so unusual I wanted to report it officially.
