Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/20/2022

Number: 2

Our two from last year showed up on March 20th, 2022, and a few days later started remodeling last years nest. After adding about 2” in height they laid their first egg of the season yesterday, April 8th, and today a second egg was laid. They spend each night on a little ledge next to the nest above our front doorway. After spending their days flying with the neighbors barn swallows and remodeling the nest, at 7:30pm like clockwork they settle in for the night.
