Saw same sub adult male rubythroat here thru field glasses at dusk last night high up in river birch. Scratching his feathers, and has white fuzzy bottom, in molt.
Today went to feeder 7:30 a.m. in cold front 56 degrees.
Hovers at potted Hamelia buds, deep purple Skyscraper, red aloes open. There is coral honeysuckle blooming.
Can't figure why not going to flowers. But in molt birds don't feel at their best. Or maybe different flowers are all new to him
