This is a follow-up photo to my Monarch Adult Sighted report for 04/14/2022. This is one of the monarch females I observed milkweed-seeking and egg-laying today. This is a picture of her as she takes a nectar break on a yellow thistle ~ always a good source of nutrition. She is an example of the tattered wing conditions of some of the monarchs I am seeing. In spite of that, she was strong and spritely as she went about.
