We were outside for hours It was 6:30PM when he buzzed underneath the overhang and between us to say hi A remarkably brilliant male He sampled from both my feeders and the neighbor’s before getting possessive of the closest one to me when a tuffed titmouse dared to land on "his" hanger Temps soared to 74° after a string of chilly windy dank wet days and cold nights He preferred the feeder that’s been up for 4 days to a fresh batch I’ve had one up since the first native bee emerged late March
