We had our first Ruby-throated Hummingbird sighting of the year at noon. The male made a quick in and out at the feeder outside our window. I wasn’t quick enough to get a photo. I saw the flash of his red neck as he flew away. Temp 79 and very windy with winds out of the south 22 mph. I’ve been keeping track of first sightings since 2010 and today ties the earliest sighting date of April 23, 2016. Last year our first sighting was May 2.
