Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 04/17/2022

Number: 125

I have babies everywhere! I've planted purple, polk, swamp and butterfly milkweed in several locations on our acre lot. I have brought 60+ indoors to hand rear and the remaining I've left to mother nature. I do have to make rounds every morning to pick off hungry spiders from the milkweed. The cluster of 11 in the photo are 2nd instars. The photo was taken on 4/24 from those that hatched on 4/17 and 4/18.
