Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 04/15/2022

Number: 1

First sighting of a female monarch, and first monarch egg of 2022. I couldn’t get a picture of her, but found a single egg on my native narrowleaf (leaf with egg pictured, left side) after she appeared to be laying after landing on fresh growth. A (resident?) male visits regularly late mornings, but I haven’t seen them interact, nor the return of the female.
