Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 04/28/2022

Number: 1

As I was walking at Stone Mountain Park towards the park’s Public Safety building I spotted a bald eagle 🦅 about 100ft above the tree line. I hurried to a clearing to get a better view. It was clearly a mature bald eagle with white tail and head. I was amazed and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. As the eagle continued to soar higher and higher, I thought to capture it with my I Phone. I could not zoom in close enough. I contacted DNR. They we’re not surprised and mentioned that there could be a nesting pair.
