As I started my walk today at Stone Mtn Park, going toward the Public Safety Building, I thought I saw a raptor the size of a vulture with a white head and tail. So I hurried to a clearing area to get a better look. To my amaze I could see very clear that it was an adult bald eagle soaring, circling higher and higher. After watching it continue to climb higher I finally thought to try to capture it on my I phone. Nevertheless I could not zoom in close enough. Afterwards I call DNR and they were not surprised and mention there may be a nesting pair near by.
