Optimistically I've had my feeder up for about 10 days and putting fresh nectar in every 4-5 days...waiting. I was becoming discouraged, as we had hummingbirds pretty early last year, but no! Today there were 2 little beauties zipping and diving around each other near our bright red feeder! Eventually one settled down to drink, but within about 4 minutes he was dive-bombed by the other. Because they are now plentiful in our neighborhood, many of us have nectar out for them for the rest of the summer.
