Saw 27 monarchs at Google today. Beautiful calm spring day about 72 degrees. Most monarchs were busily flying about many in groups close to milkweed patches. The milkweed is sprouting new growth at the base but the eggs are mostly on the older growth under leaves and tucked away from predators. Most of the monarchs look colorful but we saw what we believe to be the same old faded tattered male we reported last week. No caterpillar sightings today.
