Put my feeder up the morning of May 2nd, even though the weather was cool and rainy. Every year, the hummers arrive the first few days of May, and I wanted to make sure they were welcome if they came in. Like clockwork - I saw them out of the corner of my eye from the breakfast table. Two ruby-throats, looking small and lean. Right on schedule! Isn't nature just amazing?
