May 3, 2022, the eighth day since sighting the first male Ruby Throated Hummingbird and the fourth day since two males are present in our backyard. Both are waiting patiently near the feeders for the arrival of a female Ruby Throated Hummingbirds. One male is perched on and off by the feeders and he chases the other male away from the feeders. 45 degrees, 12 mph, overcast, light rain 1/2”. We are all waiting for the arrival of a female hummer!
