The second week of April, our teachers noticed a pair of Robins making a nest in a tree in our outdoor classroom. It’s unusual because the nest is so low to the ground (you can walk right up and look in.) There’s also a wind chime hanging in the tree! A couple weeks later, mom briefly left the nest and we were able to see three blue eggs. We keep our distance and she has been diligently sitting on the nest during rain, shine and even in the snow! We’ve also observed both male and female hunting for worms and bringing them back to the nest, but haven’t seen or heard any babies yet.
