My husband rescued a male Broad-Tailed hummer from our garage this morning. Fortunately, he went out there before it died from exhaustion....as some have in the past. We have to remember to keep the garage doors shut, because we have window on two sides and the birds fly in through the open garage doors thinking that they can go straight through...and are instead stopped by the glass. My husband got a good look at this one and from the coloration it was definitely a male Broad-Tailed.
