Signs of Spring

Date: 05/09/2022

Number: 1

First indigo bunting I've ever seen in our yard. Landed near the base of our large silver maple and then flew up to the nyjer feeders and ate for just a few seconds before flying off. The intense color in the sunlight was fantastic. This bird had a very dark head, much darker than photos or illustrations I've seen in bird books.
