Saw a ruby-throated hummingbird visiting the first tulip to open in our front yard. Unfortunately tulips have no nectar, as the hummingbird discovered. Right now all that is in bloom are wild violets and prairie smoke, but our serviceberry tree looks like it will blossom tomorrow for the hummers.
