First sighting of Ruby Throated Hummer for this year. Have had feeder out for 23 years, and in 22 of those years have had only one mating pair - and in one year we had two mating pairs. A neighbor 200 yards away regularly got multiple ruby throated hummers at their feeder - and it remains an interesting mystery as to why this is so.
