Did not want to scare it. So no photo. This is the first one I saw at the feeder this year.
It was extremely hungry. I have never seen a humming bird drinking for such a long time. It did not lift its head for seconds upon seconds.
Usually they take a drink and then look around and then drink more.
Not this one. It drank like a starving being. Then it sat on the perch and rested about 30 seconds before it drank again.
I feel so privileged to have been able to provide sustenance to this traveler.
