single hummer arrived overhead, circled bur oak with tiny leaves only just emerging, and flew back southward. no known hummer feeders nearby, yet dandelion, violets, trillium, Norway maple, early azaleas, three varieties of magnolia, and a few persistent daffodils and grape hyacinths now blooming
