Have had feeders out for two weeks in hopes of seeing early arrivers. May 9 is the earliest I ever have seen hummingbirds. Pretty sure he is male and has stayed here since arrival. He has come to feeder often. He even has sipped from the orange feeder that I put out for the Baltimore Orioles that arrived May 11.
