Monarch Waystation #271 reports sighting a female monarch laying an egg on a Swamp milkweed growing in the back bed this afternoon. Presumably she is the mother of all the eggs I've found on the front bed Purple milkweeds! More comprehensive tally of monarchs to be done in the coming days.
