I had seen one flying around the backyard about an hour prior to this one, spotted around 4:00 pm. I went over to take some photos of our lilacs and found this male (looks like a male to me) nectaring on them. First sighting of the season for this location.
Warm day (86°) with 5 mph winds out of the W/SW. Partly cloudy with rain moving in later tonight.
