Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/20/2022

Number: 1

I observed a smaller, somewhat faded Monarch butterfly as it flew past my garden. It did not stop to search for nectar though there is some yarrow blooming in the garden and verbena in pots about 25 feet from there. I could not see if it was a male or female. It was the first Monarch I’ve seen this season. YAY! Hurry up and grow and bloom, Bee Balm, Savannah Blazing Star, and Milkweed!
