Milkweed Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 05/07/2022

Number: 1

The first whorled milkweed flower buds became established during the first week in May. This stand reliably supports monarch butterfly activity throughout the season. We are now experiencing drought conditions and milkweed growth is slow; however, the Rio Grande will be bank-full on June 2nd to service water compact agreements and irrigation customers regionally.
