We were weeding the native garden at the First United Methodist Church of West Chicago and were rewarded with a visiting monarch. Wasn't close enough to see if it was a male or female, but I lean towards female by the way it was hovering around and settling on the 6 to 7 inch high milkweed. Did not find eggs after it was gone. (No photo)
