Submitted by Don Davis: Kristen Obsorne, Chief Naturalist, Presqu'ile Provincial Park, spotted her first monarch yesterday at the park Nature Center - a female looking for milkweed on which to lay eggs. Monarchs have been tagged in this park since 1985, with numerous recoveries in the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve in Mexico. For tagging season 2021, Monarch Watch recovered 5 tagged monarchs released in this park, at El Rosario and Chincua, with two of these being released during the 2020 tagging season.
