Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/26/2022

Number: 3

The last few days have been very interesting. After the hummingbirds arrived in April, they were very active for a bit and then the females quickly disappeared to nest. Since then, we've really only seen our resident male patrolling and feeding from our feeders and flowers. Two days ago, we spotted what we think to be a brand new baby hummer exploring our back patio. A different one was spotted today at the window feeder on the back patio. It does appear that babies from first nests have fledged in our area, which is right on schedule.
