I saw and adult monarch butterfly, flying around the backyard garden, first sight on 5/24. The photos are from 5/26--it has visited the garden the last 3 days now. Not sure if it is the same butterfly, but comes late afternoon, flies around many trees and flowers, several rounds high and low, mostly in the sun. It landed in the sun on flowers and high on trees for several minutes each time before resuming flying around. Wings look whole and healthy, body looks robust. Weather was sunny, temps mid to high 80's.
