At 12:30pm it was 80 degrees F, mostly cloudy, strong winds 16mph from the south, with 68% humidity. My first monarch sighting today was this mating pair who were on the wild grapevines which line our inner fences. I startled them accidentally and they flew to a nearby tree.

I only saw a few more monarchs today with a few brief outings. Some males flying around patrolling and a female checking milkweed. Very windy all day.
