Monarch Waystation #271 reports finding one 3rd instar and one 4th instar larva, basking in the sun while on front bed Purple Milkweeds, just after noon. Both larvae were not eating, probably due to the presence of temperatures in the mid to upper 50s with intermittent breezes.
