Monarch Waystation #271 reports an informal survey of 25-30 purple and 2 common milkweed stalks in the front bed, which yielded 32 eggs on pmw flower buds, and 7 eggs on pmw upper leaves. Not all stalks were surveyed in front. Back bed egg tally on 14 swamp milkweed stalks plus 2 common mw stalks yielded 5 eggs on Common mw leaves, 10 on Swamp mw leaves. One back bed stalk of purple mw had old feeding sign on it, but no feeding signs were seen on the few butterflyweed stalks growing in the bed.
