Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 06/02/2022

Number: 1

We planted the Dynamite plants in early May and shielded them from three nights of frost during the month. We have a regular crowd of up to six hummingbirds, with a lot of chattering, darting and diving. as well, have two feeders out, and they also see a lot of traffic. The nights are still on the cool side, with lows down to 9°C and daytime temps ranging anywhere from 15°C to 32°C. The wind is a constant, mostly from the North, unless a storm blows through, bringing heavy rain, damaging winds and occasional hail.
