I was not able to get a picture but it flew close enough I am sure it was a Monarch and not a viceroy. I am pretty sure it was a female. It fluttered around an area where I have milkweed and flowers, nectaring a bit. I did not see it land on the milkweed, which is about a foot high but not yet blooming.
