Milkweed Sighted

Date: 06/09/2022

Number: 1

A rainy spring has kept the road crews from mowing alongside the road and milkweed has had the opportunity to trail all the way to the fencelines. This means it will be available even when the road is mowed.

In addition, the milkweed spots in our yard recovered despite septic work and I don't think they will get the root rot disease they had last year because i cleaned out the bed. The swamp milkweed I planted returned and I added 2 more plants. As of 06/09/2022 all plants are at least waist high.

There is a new type of milkweed popping out much slower along our stream. It is about a foot tall. I can't tell what it is yet, but will keep an eye on it.
