This is my 4th year of feeding a female ruby throat at my feeder. She always chases off any other hummingbird and has a perch above in a tree where she guards the feeder.
Yesterday afternoon into the evening, she allowed 2 small hummingbirds to feed, even one feeding at the same time with her. I have to assume they are her fledglings. Wondered how long she would tolerate them at the feeder but couldn’t find specific info.
Have not seen the fledglings at all today so thinking one evening was her limit :—))
