Today I saw my first Monarch of this season. 10 am, hot morning, west wind with gusts. The Monarch was flying above the patches of blooming milkweed in central part of Acacia Reservation. I could not find out this butterfly's gender. It was moving very energetically from plant to plant and sat down for a very shot moment. On the photo - milkweed which was attractive to the Monarch.
