This is my first year trying to get a full-fledged pollinator garden going in my little backyard space. I’ve got perennials in the ground including swamp milkweed, butterfly weed, multiple varieties of blazing stars, New England asters, bee balm/wild bergamot, pale purple coneflower, penstemon, and golden alexanders. I’m supplementing with annuals in pots including zinnias, lantanas, pentas, and salvia. I’ve also rigged up a little puddling station using a flower pot saucer on top of its pot. Not pictured: a small patch of common milkweed and another few perennials along the sunny back of the house (additional butterfly weed, prairie blazing stars, and a couple showy goldenrods.)
